" I decided to commission a box for my 40th birthday as a present from me to me! I emailed a list of ideas to Katherine and she came up with plenty of creative suggestions. She communicated throughout the process, sharing pictures of items and a mock up of the layout, so I could decide what I wanted. The result is beautiful! The box lives on my mantelpiece and everyone comments on it when they visit. "

This piece represented a body of items that were collected along one key route over the course of two weeks. It showcases the everyday and throwaway objects that are discarded or lost on a daily basis.
Childhood Memories
"Having heard Katherine on Radio 4 and then following her on Instagram I was fascinated by the memory boxes she curates. When it came to deciding what to do to celebrate my sisters 50th birthday it was an easy decision to commission Katherine to make us a memory box.

The whole process was such a fun and positive experience. Katherine listened to my ideas and suggested items we could include and worked very flexibly to stay within my budget and deadlines. Once she’d received the objects from me she went over various layout options via video calls and messages.

​The final piece was better than I could have imagined, made with care and thought by a craftsperson who obviously puts a lot of pride into every piece she creates."
