Whether it’s the house you still live in, your first home, or a gift for a loved one, my architectural house portraits capture all the details that make it special. 

I can draw from photos (past and present), so you have an original drawing of a house as it is now, or as it was on a special date in history.

My background in architecture means I love pulling out the small details and finding what makes a building unique. For me, it’s all about using pen and ink to bring these intricate elements to life – creating a piece of art you’ll treasure now and in the future.

The process of creating pen and ink house portraits

​When a client gets in touch, I ask them to take photos of their house from a front-on view. As well as the bigger picture, it’s useful to have details of the front door and any other smaller elements that they particularly like. 

At this stage, I’ll also request an address, so I can find the house on Google Street View. This is a handy way to explore the house from different angles, especially if the building is on the other side of the world.

From start to finish, I make the process as simple as possible. Everything is done over email. Once I have the photos and a good idea of the house, I send my clients a draft layout, so we can agree on the scope. 

Then it’s time for my favourite part: drawing pictures. If possible, I’ll often share a process photo with my clients, so they can see how their house portrait is developing.​

A5: £295
​A4: £495

A little extra: I can make a number of prints or turn the final pieces into cards.
