“We first came across Katherine’s art at Cardiff Christmas Market where we instantly fell in love with her drawing of Portmeirion, where I previously worked. We got chatting and asked if Katherine had any plans of drawing our hometown of Porthmadog, luckily it was on the list!
From there, we’ve celebrated all our life milestones with Katherine’s art, from the place we grew up, to the place we now call home, our engagement then our marriage. In December 2020, I was contacted by a customer who already had a few of my prints. He wanted to commission a drawing of the place where he’d proposed to his fiancé. It was to be a special wedding present for his wife-to-be.

Funnily, the print didn’t end up as a wedding gift. After I’d finished the commissioned drawing, he couldn't resist giving it to his partner early.
She loved it so much that they asked me to draw their wedding venue too! |

The couple were getting married at Pencoed House in Cardiff. So, I created an architectural line drawing of this beautiful venue which became a print. I also turned the pen and ink print into a larger piece, which became the couple's wedding guest book.
I always find it a real joy working with people to celebrate big life events. It’s a privilege being able to bring their special memories to life. |
